Extramammary Paget’s disease (EMPD) is a rare skin cancer that most often appears around the genitalia, groin and perianal regions in women and men. It can also appear elsewhere in the body. EMPD can look innocuous and is often ignored. However, early diagnosis helps tremendously with the treatment of the disease. If you suspect you might have EMPD, see your doctor. Dr. Joseph Ivy is dedicated to providing compassionate, effective care for female cancer patients and their families. He passionately believes that cancer care should focus on providing the best possible quality of life and chance of recovery for his patients. Dr. Ivy uses minimally invasive techniques whenever possible in his surgical practice.
Dr. Janiel Cragun is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Arizona. She is fellowship-trained in the specialty of gynecology oncology. Dr. Cragun offers surgical interventions to include both radical and minimally invasive procedures. She also offers chemotherapeutic and palliative interventions.
Tyler Ford, MD, is a gynecologic oncologist in Richmond, VA. Dr. Ford earned his medical degree from Albany Medical College and completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY. Dr. Ford’s specialties include minimally-invasive surgical techniques treating specific gynecologic cancers, as well as clinical research.
The research involvement and interests of Dr. Jamie N. Bakkum-Gamez, MD, include screening and early detection modalities in ovarian cancer and endometrial cancer; prognostic molecular markers in ovarian cancer and endometrial cancer; and quality improvement in postoperative outcomes after ovarian cancer staging surgery.
Dr. Curtis Pettaway is an urologist in Houston, Texas and is affiliated with University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He received his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine and has been in practice for more than 20 years. Dr. Pettaway is one of 18 doctors at University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center who specialize in Urology.
Dr. Otley is professor and chair of the department of dermatology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He majored in religion at Williams College, received his medical degree at Duke University, completed a residency in dermatology at Harvard University and then a fellowship in Mohs and Dermatologic Surgery at Mayo Clinic.
Dr. Sumaira Z. Aasi, M.D., is a Professor of Dermatology and Director of Mohs and Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Aasi completed a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and cutaneous oncology at Yale University where she was on faculty and served as Associate Chief. Dr. Aasi clinical interests include management of high risk nonmelanoma skin cancers, Mohs histopathology, and reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Doug McKay is an Assistant Professor with the Department of Surgery at Queen's University. Dr. McKay has been an Attending Staff member at both Kingston General Hospital and Hotel Dieu Hospital since 2010. Dr. McKay is clinically interested in the cleft lip and palate, oncological reconstruction, and plastic surgery in general.
Dr. Oliver Dorigo, MD, PHD is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology (Oncology) at the Stanford University Medical Center in Palo Alto, CA. Dr. Dorigo’s clinical focus is the treatment of patients with gynecologic cancers, including ovarian, cervical, endometrial, vaginal and vulva cancer. In his surgical practice, Dr. Dorigo is emphasizing the use of minimal invasive technologies in particular laparoscopic and robotic surgery.
Dr. Hoffman is a world-renowned expert in the surgical management of gynecologic cancers and other complex gynecologic disorders. He has over 30 years of surgical experience, has published extensively on all aspects of female cancer surgery, and has lectured around the world on these subjects. Dr. Hoffman was voted by physician peers as one of the top gynecologic oncologists (Tampa Magazine, 2017).
Dr. Martin Braun, MD is a dermatologist in Washington, DC. He specializes in dermatology and mohs micrographic surgery and is board certified in dermatology. Dr. Braun is a member of the American College of Mohs Surgery, the American Academy of Dermatology, the Washington DC Dermatological Society, and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery.
Dr. Jason D. Engel is a urologist affiliated with Sibley Memorial Hospital and George Washington University Hospital, where he is the director of urologic robotic surgery and a clinical associate professor. Dr. Engel is certified in urology by the American Board of Urology. He practices out of Urologic Surgeons of Washington in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Jerry D. Brewer's studies have included all the common forms of skin cancer and their behavior in patients with either chronic lymphocytic leukemia or non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. One of Dr. Brewer's areas of focus has been melanoma in the setting of immunosuppression. To this end, he has undertaken studies of patients with melanoma who also have had an organ transplant, or who have had lymphoma.
Dr. Janice Rafferty, MD, is a colorectal surgeon at The Christ Hospital and Professor of surgery at the University of Cincinnati, college of Medicine. She brings over 20 years of experience in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of colorectal cancer, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis and other digestive diseases.
