Extramammary Paget’s disease (EMPD) is a rare skin cancer that most often appears around the genitalia, groin and perianal regions in women and men. It can also appear elsewhere in the body. EMPD can look innocuous and is often ignored. However, early diagnosis helps tremendously with the treatment of the disease. If you suspect you might have EMPD, see your doctor. Dr. Mohammed Dany, MD is the director of Mohs and dermatologic surgery at VCU Health in Richmond, VA. Dany is one of only a handful of Mohs surgeons in the greater Richmond area. In addition to Mohs surgery, Dany is also a cutaneous oncologist, treating patients with rare tumors such as Merkle cell carcinoma, sebaceous carcinoma and Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans.
Dr. Melissa Mauskar, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Dermatology and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Her clinical practice is focused on complex medical dermatology and vulvar dermatoses. She is the founder and Director of the Gynecologic Dermatology Clinic at UT Southwestern, a tertiary referral center for gynecologists, dermatologists, and primary care physicians serving Texas and surrounding states.
Nahid Y. Vidal, M.D., FAAD, FACMS, is a Mohs surgeon with subspecialty expertise in skin cancer treatment and complex reconstruction. Dr. Vidal is also a principal investigator for several clinical studies pertaining to skin cancer and dermatologic surgery, with special interests including rare and complex cutaneous tumors, immunohistochemistry for Mohs surgery, innovation in education, and artificial intelligence.
Professor Tak-Wah Wong MD, PhD works in the Departments of Dermatology, Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Center of Applied Nanomedicine at National Cheng Kung University in Tainan, Taiwan. He leads a skin cancer team in the University Hospital. He dedicates his research to photobiology, oncology, infectious diseases, wound healing, and abnormal scarring. He is the pioneer of photodynamic therapy (PDT) in Taiwan.

Dr. Manisha Jashbhai Loss is an associate professor of dermatology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. A dermatologist who focuses on organ transplant recipients, she launched the mid-Atlantic''s first program solely dedicated to the care of transplant patients. Dr. Loss is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, a founding member of the American Board of Medical Specialties, and an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology..
Dr. Ochoa is an Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the Keck School of Medicine USC. She recently joined the Department of Dermatology at Keck Medicine of USC after 10 years of practice at the UCLA Division of Dermatology.
Dr. Ochoa provides dermatology services for the diagnosis and treatment of a broad range of general skin diseases such as acne, eczema, skin cancer and psoriasis, among others. Her clinical and research interest center around infectious diseases of the skin, including the diagnosis and treatment of patients with skin manifestations of HIV, tropical dermatology (skin infectious diseases acquired abroad) and sexually transmitted diseases.
Dr. Adler is an assistant professor of dermatology at USC and serves as associate director of the USC Environmental Dermatology Unit. His primary clinical and research interests focus on contact dermatitis, a rash that can develop at any point in life due to the numerous substances that come into contact with the skin. He specializes in performing patch testing to diagnose allergic contact dermatitis. He also sees patients with the full range of general and complex skin conditions, with a particular interest in sarcoidosis.
Dr. Alexander Witkowski is a medical dermatologist specializing in the early detection of skin cancers (particularly melanoma), eczema, seborrheic dermatitis and acne. He completed his medical training and residency in Europe as well as his Ph.D. in Modena (Italy), focused on implementing virtual biopsies with reflectance confocal microscopy and its application to diagnosing melanoma subtypes at the patient bedside.
Min Deng, MD, is the Director of Mohs Micrographic Surgery at MedStar Washington Hospital Center/MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and the only Mohs surgeon employed by MedStar Health. As a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon, Dr. Deng has subspecialty expertise in cutaneous oncology, including the diagnosis and management of the most prevalent skin cancers.
Brandon T. Beal, MD is a Board-Certified Dermatologist, and Fellowship trained Mohs Micrographic Surgeon, dermatologic oncologist (cancer doctor of the skin), and facial reconstructive surgeon Dr. Beal completed his dermatology residency at the Cleveland Clinic Dermatology & Plastic Surgery Institute and his fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery, dermatologic oncology, and facial reconstructive surgery at Zitelli & Brodland, PC.
Dr. Ramin Fathi, MD graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, IL, with a degree in accounting. He then received his medical degree at Rush Medical College in Chicago, IL where he graduated at the top of his medical school class and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Fathi is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is an Associate Member of the American College of Mohs Surgery.
Dr. Cristian Navarrete-Dechent, MD is a board certified dermatologist from Santiago, Chile. He works both in clinical practice and as a researcher with his main interests in cutaneous oncology pathogenesis, treatment, and diagnosis. To this end, he uses total body photography, dermoscopy, reflectance confocal microscopy, optical coherence tomography, and artificial intelligence. He currently works in the Department of Dermatology of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, in Santiago, Chile.
Dr. Catherine Harrell is a board-certified dermatologist with extensive training in medical dermatology, cutaneous oncology, dermatologic surgery, and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Harrell has a special interest in complex medical dermatology, bullous skin disorders, psoriasis and treatment of skin cancer.
Dr. Pascale Guitera is a Dermatologist, originally from France, specializing in skin tumours. She has completed her PhD in collaboration with the Curie Institute (one of Europe’s leading scientific institutions) on instrumentations for the diagnosis of skin tumours. Dr. Guitera has a particular interest in the technique of in vivo confocal microscopy.
Dr. Silvina Pugliese, MD, is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology and Attending Physician at the Stanford Medicine Outpatient Center and Stanford Cancer Institute. She attended medical school at Boston University and completed her residency at Loma Linda, serving as Chief Resident in her final year. Dr. Pugliese is interested in the management of cutaneous complications associated with chemotherapy, radiation therapy, organ transplantation, and their impact on patient quality of life.
Dr. Sumaira Z. Aasi, M.D., is a Professor of Dermatology and Director of Mohs and Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Aasi completed a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and cutaneous oncology at Yale University where she was on faculty and served as Associate Chief. Dr. Aasi clinical interests include management of high risk nonmelanoma skin cancers, Mohs histopathology, and reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Suzanne M. Olbricht's clinical interests include Mohs micrographic surgery for the removal of difficult skin cancers. Her clinical practice primarily focuses on treating patients with skin cancer and associated syndromes requiring surgical treatment, with a focus on complications and management of precursor lesions.
