Extramammary Paget’s disease (EMPD) is a rare skin cancer that most often appears around the genitalia, groin and perianal regions in women and men. It can also appear elsewhere in the body. EMPD can look innocuous and is often ignored. However, early diagnosis helps tremendously with the treatment of the disease. If you suspect you might have EMPD, see your doctor. Brad Figler received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and completed his residency training in Urology at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA. After his fellowship training, Dr. Figler worked at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia as Assistant Professor of Urology and Director of Reconstructive Urology. Dr. Figler serves as fellowship faculty for the UNC Urology Men's Health Fellowship.
Dr. Bradley Merritt, MD is a Dermatologist and Mohs surgeon in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Dr. Merritt and is highly rated for his expertise skin cancers, including extramammary Paget’s disease (EMPD), and reconstructive urology surgery. Dr. Mario M. Leitao, Jr., MD is a board-certified gynecologic oncologist who specializes in surgery for women with ovarian, endometrial, cervical, vulvar, or vaginal cancer. Dr. Leitao, Jr. has a strong interest in providing minimally invasive surgical options for our patients, including both laparoscopic and robotic-assisted procedures. He joined the Memorial Sloan Kettering staff in 2007.
Dr. Edward Tanner is an Associate Professor of Gynecologic Oncology at Northwestern University where he serves as Chief of the Gynecologic Oncology service. Dr. Tanner serves as the Director of Gynecologic Robotic Surgery at Prentice Women’s Hospital and is an internationally recognized leader in the field of gynecologic oncology surgery.
The research involvement and interests of Dr. Jamie N. Bakkum-Gamez, MD, include screening and early detection modalities in ovarian cancer and endometrial cancer; prognostic molecular markers in ovarian cancer and endometrial cancer; and quality improvement in postoperative outcomes after ovarian cancer staging surgery.
Christian L. Baum, MD is a practicing Dermatologist (Skin Specialist) in Rochester, MN. Dr. Baum graduated from University of Iowa, Roy J and Lucille A Carver College of Medicine, in 2005. Dr. Andreas Kaiser, MD, graduated in 1988 from the University of Zurich in Switzerland. After an internship in Surgical Pathology, Dr. Kaiser trained in General Surgery at the University Hospital of Zurich, interrupted by a two year research fellowship at Harvard Medical School. He completed a fellowship in Visceral Surgery at the University Hospital in Zurich, and in Colorectal Surgery at the Keck School of Medicine at USC.
Dr. Curtis Pettaway is an urologist in Houston, Texas and is affiliated with University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He received his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine and has been in practice for more than 20 years. Dr. Pettaway is one of 18 doctors at University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center who specialize in Urology.
Dr. Terrence A. Dr. Viraj Master, MD is a Professor of Urology at the Emory University School of Medicine, Associate Chair for Clinical Affairs and Quality, and Director of Clinical Research Unit. Dr. Master’s primary clinical interest is urologic oncology, in particular kidney cancer, adrenal tumors, testicular cancer, high-risk prostate cancer and penile cancers.
Dr. Hadley Wyre, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Urology at The University of Kansas Cancer Center - South. Dr. Wyre earned his medical degree from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. He completed both a urology residency and fellowship in Trauma / Reconstructive Urology from Emery University as well.
Dr. Meine graduated from The University of Iowa College of Medicine and completed his intern year in internal medicine at The University of Utah. His dermatology residency was at the The University of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark, NJ. He then completed a two year fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and cutaneous oncology at the Cleveland Clinic.
Dr. Otley is professor and chair of the department of dermatology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He majored in religion at Williams College, received his medical degree at Duke University, completed a residency in dermatology at Harvard University and then a fellowship in Mohs and Dermatologic Surgery at Mayo Clinic.
