Extramammary Paget’s disease (EMPD) is a rare skin cancer that most often appears around the genitalia, groin and perianal regions in women and men. It can also appear elsewhere in the body. EMPD can look innocuous and is often ignored. However, early diagnosis helps tremendously with the treatment of the disease. If you suspect you might have EMPD, see your doctor. Dr. Jon Stuart Hourigan, MD, FACS, FASCRS was born and raised in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Dr. Hourigan’s clinical interests include the comprehensive treatment of colon cancer and rectal cancer, surgical management of inflammatory bowel disease and diverticulitis, and the treatment of benign anorectal disorders. He is an expert in both traditional and minimally invasive approaches for colon and rectal diseases.
Dr. Rachel Ware Miller, MD is an assistant professor of gynecologic oncology at the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center in Lexington, KY. Dr. Miller’s research interests include early detection of ovarian cancer, novel strategies in the treatment of ovarian cancer, chemotherapy-induced cognitive impairment, radical pelvic surgery, and robotic surgery for gynecologic cancers.
Dr. Thanh Dellinger, MD, is a gynecologic oncologist with specialized training in robotic-assisted (minimally invasive) surgery for uterine and cervical cancer, which can be as effective as traditional surgery but with reduced scarring, pain and recovery time. Dr. Dellinger is also an expert in advanced cytoreductive surgery for ovarian cancer, which can significantly improve survival outcomes for patients. Additionally, Dr. Dellinger has specialized training in PIPAC, a novel drug delivery method for recurrent ovarian cancer patients.
Dr. Mohammed Dany, MD is the director of Mohs and dermatologic surgery at VCU Health in Richmond, VA. Dany is one of only a handful of Mohs surgeons in the greater Richmond area. In addition to Mohs surgery, Dany is also a cutaneous oncologist, treating patients with rare tumors such as Merkle cell carcinoma, sebaceous carcinoma and Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans.
A medical oncologist, Dawn Klemow-Reed, M.D., specializes in the areas of breast cancer and benign hematology. Her primary emphasis is determining therapeutic approaches to eliminate cancer cells and prevent their spread throughout the body. Based on her experience and knowledge of new breast cancer therapeutics, Dr. Klemow-Reed offers a comprehensive range of treatment options to patients. This includes both traditional and new alternatives – chemotherapy drugs, biologic agents, and hormonal therapy. Her expertise includes presenting alternatives with less toxicity than conventional chemotherapy.
Dr. Vitaly Margulis, MD, Professor of Urology at UT Southwestern Medical Center, graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin and UT Southwestern Medical School. He trained in the highly competitive urology residency program at UT Southwestern and completed a fellowship in urologic oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, where he was previously a Clinical Specialist in Urologic Oncology. An expert surgeon, Dr. Margulis uses minimally invasive techniques to treat patients with soft-tissue tumors and kidney, prostate, bladder, testicular, penile, and adrenal cancers.
Dr. Melissa Mauskar, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Dermatology and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Her clinical practice is focused on complex medical dermatology and vulvar dermatoses. She is the founder and Director of the Gynecologic Dermatology Clinic at UT Southwestern, a tertiary referral center for gynecologists, dermatologists, and primary care physicians serving Texas and surrounding states.
Nahid Y. Vidal, M.D., FAAD, FACMS, is a Mohs surgeon with subspecialty expertise in skin cancer treatment and complex reconstruction. Dr. Vidal is also a principal investigator for several clinical studies pertaining to skin cancer and dermatologic surgery, with special interests including rare and complex cutaneous tumors, immunohistochemistry for Mohs surgery, innovation in education, and artificial intelligence.
Dr. Robert Caleb Kovell, MD is a board-certified urologist focused on providing individualized care for patients while helping them understand their options and achieve their goals. His practice, at Penn Medicine in Philadelphia, focuses on reconstructive urology which includes improving urologic function when it has been compromised by trauma, congenital urologic conditions, cancer, previous surgery or radiation therapy.
Professor Tak-Wah Wong MD, PhD works in the Departments of Dermatology, Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Center of Applied Nanomedicine at National Cheng Kung University in Tainan, Taiwan. He leads a skin cancer team in the University Hospital. He dedicates his research to photobiology, oncology, infectious diseases, wound healing, and abnormal scarring. He is the pioneer of photodynamic therapy (PDT) in Taiwan.

Dr. Manisha Jashbhai Loss is an associate professor of dermatology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. A dermatologist who focuses on organ transplant recipients, she launched the mid-Atlantic''s first program solely dedicated to the care of transplant patients. Dr. Loss is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, a founding member of the American Board of Medical Specialties, and an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology..
Dr. Ochoa is an Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the Keck School of Medicine USC. She recently joined the Department of Dermatology at Keck Medicine of USC after 10 years of practice at the UCLA Division of Dermatology.
Dr. Ochoa provides dermatology services for the diagnosis and treatment of a broad range of general skin diseases such as acne, eczema, skin cancer and psoriasis, among others. Her clinical and research interest center around infectious diseases of the skin, including the diagnosis and treatment of patients with skin manifestations of HIV, tropical dermatology (skin infectious diseases acquired abroad) and sexually transmitted diseases.
Dr. Adler is an assistant professor of dermatology at USC and serves as associate director of the USC Environmental Dermatology Unit. His primary clinical and research interests focus on contact dermatitis, a rash that can develop at any point in life due to the numerous substances that come into contact with the skin. He specializes in performing patch testing to diagnose allergic contact dermatitis. He also sees patients with the full range of general and complex skin conditions, with a particular interest in sarcoidosis.
Dr. Michaela Onstad Grinsfelder, MD is assistant professor in the department of Gynecologic Oncology and Reproductive Medicine (Division of Surgery) at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, in Houston, TX. Dr. Grinsfelder received a Master of Public Health and her Doctor of Medicine degrees from the University of California Davis School of Medicine in Sacramento, CA.
Dr. Philippe Spiess is a genitourinary oncologist and the assistant chief of surgical services at the Moffitt Cancer Center. He is well a full professor of oncology and urology at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. Prior to joining Moffitt, Dr. Spiess completed a three-year SUO-accredited urologic oncology fellowship at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX.
Dr. Alexander Witkowski is a medical dermatologist specializing in the early detection of skin cancers (particularly melanoma), eczema, seborrheic dermatitis and acne. He completed his medical training and residency in Europe as well as his Ph.D. in Modena (Italy), focused on implementing virtual biopsies with reflectance confocal microscopy and its application to diagnosing melanoma subtypes at the patient bedside.
Min Deng, MD, is the Director of Mohs Micrographic Surgery at MedStar Washington Hospital Center/MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and the only Mohs surgeon employed by MedStar Health. As a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon, Dr. Deng has subspecialty expertise in cutaneous oncology, including the diagnosis and management of the most prevalent skin cancers.
Brandon T. Beal, MD is a Board-Certified Dermatologist, and Fellowship trained Mohs Micrographic Surgeon, dermatologic oncologist (cancer doctor of the skin), and facial reconstructive surgeon Dr. Beal completed his dermatology residency at the Cleveland Clinic Dermatology & Plastic Surgery Institute and his fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery, dermatologic oncology, and facial reconstructive surgery at Zitelli & Brodland, PC.
